The Department of Homeland Security proposed a rule change that would require universities to pay a $70,000 fee for standard OPT and an additional $30,000 fee for STEM students. Imposing substantial new fees could prevent international students from pursuing opportunities in the United States and ultimately drive talented graduates to take their expertise, research, and innovation elsewhere.

Submit a comment via the federal register website to voice your perspectives regarding the proposed rule change.
